UP 3D

I absolutely loved this film, and thats coming from someone who isn't really into animated pixar movies, but everything about Up blew me away. Literally.

It starts off following the life of a young boy who is obsessed with adventure. When he is young, he meets his future wife, who together create a scrapbook of all the places they have been and are going to visit.

There is a point at the beginning where we follow the two kids lifes up until the point where the boy is now a lonley old man on his own. I loved seeing them both growing up throught the years as it is uncommon to see an animated film which recognises different decades, here you could recognise if it was the 50's or 60's or the present day. It's heartbreaking when we see his wife die, but also quite funny as he refuses to leave the comfort of his old home, despite being surrounded by a construction site.

He then meets a little boy-scout who is annoyingly charming. This is kind of typical of a kid in a pixar movie, but we love him anyay. He was kind of hilarious, especially when he gets tired and has to be physically dragged around. I could relate to this as it remindes me of all those 'are we there yet' moments when i was little.

..and then they go up!

When the pair float up into the sky, I was left feeling totally amazed. This is where I would recommend seeing the film in 3D as all the colours of the baloons and the huge fluffy clouds make you feel like you are actually drifting away with them.

They then land in a world so colourful, and so far detached from the world we currently live in. Where your best friends are a colourful, lanky bird names Kevin and a talking dog. With them, combined with an old man and a boy scout, the perfect recipy for adventure is born.

I left the cinema, like i did with Finding Nemo, thinking 'this film wont be forgotten'.
