Classes

Everyone has/has had the flu and now it's my turn. Great!
I'm feeling a little better and not so, as Julia would say, 'swiney'
so I thought I'd so something productive with my time and blog about the past few weeks.

The crazy days of freshers week and creative beginnings now feel very much long gone, and as fun as they were, I'm really happy with the start of our actual classes. Strangly enough, I do look forward to hard work..

I've loved discussing different TV shows and films with the rest of the class. I think hearing about other peoples favorite things to watch is the best way to learn and get to know what we all like.

I think my favorite class at the moment is Richards screen writing class. I've never much looked forward to Monday mornings until now which amazes me! I think it really helps that our class are pretty close already because it means we can share our ideas. Theres never been a point where I've thought I should hold back because I think I'll be laughed at, because I know I would never do that to any od my classmates myself. I'm someone who had written small bits and pieces for years and just kept them to myself. Now it's exciting to think that some of my ideas might be turned into something bigger one of these days...

I'm not having any problems with anything at the moment, but the class I'll probably struggle with the most with is Ray's. I think thats just because I know absolutely nothing about cameras yet which scares me a little, but I know that when I learn more I can go out and actually, physically turn an idea into a film... eventually! But it's exciting all the same. Plus, this time last month I couldn't even put a tripod up. Now I can. Thats a baby step, but at least it's a step in the right direction.
